How do I get my Real Estate License?

You must be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. national, or an alien authorized to work in the United States.
You must be at least 18 years old by the examination date.
Has earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.
You must have a reputation for or a record of competency, honesty, truthfulness, financial integrity, and fair dealing.

School Completion Certificates are valid two (2) years from the date of issuance]

Register an account with eHawaii as the state requires official certificates to be sent through that service.

Reservations can be made by calling PSI Services, LLC at (855) 579-4640 or make a reservation online (www.psiexams.com) or by fax (702) 932-2666.
Candidates will receive a Confirmation Number.

Within two (2) years of passing the Hawaii salesperson’s examination, submit a complete application for a Hawaii real estate salesperson’s license.

To be licensed on active status, the applicant must be employed or associated with a current and active Hawaii licensed real estate brokerage firm or sole proprietor.
How do I get my Brokers License?

Must be at least 18 years of age by the exam date.
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, or authorized to work in the U.S. by the exam date.
Must provide a Social Security number for verification.
Possess a reputation for or record of competency, honesty, and financial integrity.
Must have experience as a full-time Hawaii-licensed real estate salesperson associated with a Hawaii-licensed real estate broker for at least three (3) years of the five-year period immediately prior to the submission of the "Application for Experience - Real Estate Broker.”

If approved, you will be granted a Broker Experience Certificate based on the following: Practical real estate salesperson experience as a full-time (devoting at least forty hours per week and no prorata credit given for part-time real estate salesperson activity) Hawaii-licensed real estate salesperson associated with a Hawaii-licensed real estate broker for at least three (3) years of the five year period immediately prior to the submission of the Broker Experience Certificate Application.

Upon review and approval of the complete license application, the candidate will receive a Hawaii real estate broker license.
NOTE: To be licensed on active status, the applicant must be employed or associated with a current and active Hawaii licensed real estate brokerage firm or sole proprietor. Candidates who desire to become licensed as a Sole Proprietor must also submit a separate Real Estate Sole Proprietor Application. If approved, the applicant will be granted a Hawaii Real Estate Sole Proprietor license.
